i am a rock breaking
i am a rock breaking in the stream of last winter to now. everything i balanced against is gone. the song refuses to echo  and the chorus wont speak. like staring at the sun from an unsafe distance my reflections ripple and toss as i crumble. my desperate fortune never enough,  i will be shattered for this spring for this stream until summer’s cast can’t tell me apart.

Privilege
nickgerber: Every day is a privilege. I think that was one of the things I’ve learned from my archive. I’ve seen and lived amazing things. I cherish that, and I cherish that I get to share them with you guys in addition to keeping an archive of my life. Thanks for coming on the ride. There’s a lot more to come.

nickgerber: (That’s what he said) Operation Route 66:  What We’re Doing: Each of the men and women who have fought in Iraq or Afghanistan has a story. These tales can be described as hair-raising, poignant, heartbreaking, riveting and more, and each is the story of an American hero. After hearing some of them, my father and I decided it was our duty to help tell their stories – to help bring...
